Pumps across the world account for around 10% of the global energy consumption, and around 90% of today’s installed pumps are outdated and inefficient. However, Wilo’s products, are innovative and highly efficient. Globally, the replacement of obsolete technology with the latest generation of Wilo pumps could save up to 246 Terawatt hours – the equivalent of 80 carbon power stations.

Through its Energy Saving Audits, Wilo demonstrates how clients can significantly reduce energy usage and carbon emissions, as well as costs, by replacing inefficient pumps with highly efficient alternatives - something that it’s proven during recent work with a leading student accommodation provider.

Sustainability is an integral part of Wilo's DNA and this is reflected in the opening of its new climate neutral headquarters and state-of-the-art manufacturing facility ‘Wilopark’ in Dortmund, Germany. All of Wilo’s major production facilities are also set to be climate neutral by 2025.
