Campaign of the Year
This category seeks to recognise programmes and initiatives that have been most successful in influencing their intended recipients.
Who can enter?
This category is open to marketing and public awareness or information campaigns alike. Judges will be looking for details of each campaign’s planning, implementation, stakeholder engagement and subsequent impact.
Qualifying period: 1 June 2024 – 16 January 2026.
Collaboration of the Year
This category looks to reward collaborative efforts and successful industry partnerships within the energy sector and its supply chains, including marketing, sales, public awareness and lobbying campaigns. The judges will be looking for evidence of results that could not have been achieved without the participation of all stakeholders, in recognition of the importance of cross-sectoral collaboration.
Who can enter? This category is open to collaborative efforts and successful industry partnerships alike, including but not limited to marketing, sales, public awareness and lobbying campaigns. Judges will be looking for details of each collaboration’s planning, implementation, stakeholder engagement and subsequent impact. Please note the qualifying period for this category is for collaborations/partnerships which took place from 1 June 2024 – 16 January 2026. Please summarise your collaboration and its intended purpose(s).
Digital Development of the year
This category seeks to recognise the enormous contribution of digital systems, data processing, support software and remote monitoring to the rapidly expanding energy industry. Entrants will need to describe their digital platform in detail, explain its applications and provide evidence of its efficacy.
Who can enter?
Any business that can show evidence of using digital systems, software and remote monitoring to enhance operations, improve efficiency, reduce costs, support sustainability goals or deliver measurable value within the energy industry. Entries are welcome from technology providers, energy companies, service firms, and collaborative projects that demonstrate innovation and proven impact through digital development. Please note the qualifying period for this category is for digital developments which were live between 1 June 2024 – 16 January 2026.
Low Carbon Initiative Award
This category seeks to recognise interventions from across the industry, which have made significant contributions towards the UK’s journey towards net zero carbon emissions by 2050. Contrary to the Campaign of the Year Category, these entries must be evidence-based carbon reduction interventions with measurable results for the judges to compare.
Who can enter?
This category is open to any organisation, project team, or partnership that has delivered measurable reductions in carbon emissions within the UK energy sector or through energy-related activity. Entries are welcome from utilities, generators, suppliers, network operators, technology providers, local authorities, consultancies, and end-users across all sectors. Initiatives may be organisation-wide strategies, specific projects, or collaborative programmes, but must provide robust, evidence-based results that demonstrate a clear contribution towards the UK’s net zero target. Please note the qualifying period for this category is for low-carbon initiatives running between 1 June 2024 – 16 January 2026.
Circular Energy Award
This award seeks to highlight the increasing variety of approaches to reducing and repurposing waste into energy across an equally wide range of applications, such as data centres, industrial manufacturing processes, circular economy projects and more. Judges are looking for examples of projects and strategies that demonstrate how to extract more value from the energy we generate.
Who can enter?
Open to organisations, project teams, or partnerships that have successfully turned waste into a valuable energy source. This includes initiatives in data centres, industrial processes, local authorities, energy providers, or circular economy projects. Entries must show how waste has been reduced, repurposed, or transformed into energy in a way that adds measurable value and impact. Please note the qualifying period for this category is for initiatives implemented or running between 1 June 2024 – 16 January 2026.
Data Centre Development of the Year **NEW**
This award celebrates the most innovative and impactful energy projects within the data centre sector. With growing energy demand from digital infrastructure, this category recognises projects that deliver significant improvements in efficiency, resilience, and sustainability. Projects may involve the adoption of renewable power, advanced cooling technologies, energy storage integration, AI-driven optimisation, or innovative design that reduces carbon footprint and enhances operational performance.
Who can enter?
This category is open to data centre operators, developers, project teams, and their delivery partners in the UK. Eligible entries include new-build or retrofit projects that demonstrate measurable improvements in energy efficiency, sustainability, resilience, or operational performance. Collaborative submissions with technology providers, consultants, or contractors are welcome, provided the project clearly delivers tangible energy or carbon benefits and relates to the time period 1 June 2024 – 16 January 2026.
Renewable Energy Project of the Year **NEW**
This award recognises outstanding projects that demonstrate innovation, impact, and excellence in the deployment of renewable energy solutions. Eligible projects may include solar, wind, hydro, tidal, geothermal, bioenergy or hybrid systems that significantly contribute to decarbonisation and energy transition goals. Judges will be looking for projects that show measurable environmental benefits, technological innovation, strong stakeholder engagement and scalable potential for future growth.
Who can enter?
This category is open to organisations, project teams, developers, and delivery partners in the UK that have implemented renewable energy projects. Eligible entries include solar, wind, hydro, tidal, geothermal, bioenergy, or hybrid systems that demonstrate measurable environmental benefits, technological innovation, and contribution to decarbonisation. Collaborative projects and partnerships are welcome, provided the initiative shows clear impact, stakeholder engagement, and potential for scalability and must fit into the time period between 1 June 2024 – 16 January 2026.
People/Organisations
Energy Champion of the Year
The Energy Champion of the Year category is designed to reward an individual or team making a demonstrable impact on their industry through dedication, creativity and collaboration. Nominations for this category are welcome from colleagues, peers, employees, and employers, with at least two testimonials required to help the judges decide which champions deserve this year’s accolade. In your entry, please describe why your nominee should be selected for this award, as well as what makes them stand out in their team or organisation.
Who can enter?
This award is open to individuals or teams working in any part of the UK energy sector who have gone above and beyond to drive positive change. Nominations can be submitted by colleagues, managers, employees, or peers, but must be supported by at least two testimonials. Entrants should demonstrate outstanding commitment, leadership, or innovation that sets them apart within their organisation or the wider industry. Please note the qualifying period for this category is for outstanding performance between 1 June 2024 – 16 January 2026
Energy Team of the Year
The Energy Team of the Year prize seeks to reward collective achievements within organisations that support and encourage effective thought leadership, teamwork and resource management to address industry priorities and overcome challenges.
Who can enter?
Entries for small or large teams are welcome from team members, managers or peers within the organisation or industry association, with at least two testimonials required to help the judges decide which team deserves this year’s accolade. In your entry, please describe why your nominated team should be award team of the year, as well as what makes them stand in their organisation or association. Please note the qualifying period for this category is for outstanding performance between 1 June 2024 – 16 January 2026
Energy Project of the Year – Public
This category rewards the latest and greatest energy developments in the public sector, from healthcare to leisure facilities, covering both new-build and retrofit projects. The judges will look for details of planning, resource allocation, any challenges encountered and subsequent strategies for saving, reducing or capturing carbon.
Who can enter?
This category is open to public sector organisations, project teams, and their delivery partners who have implemented outstanding energy projects in areas such as healthcare, education, housing, or leisure. Eligible entries include both new-build and retrofit projects that demonstrate clear planning, effective resource use, and measurable carbon reduction or savings. Collaborations between public bodies and private contractors/consultancies are also welcome, provided the project has been delivered within the UK public sector between 1 June 2024 – 16 January 2026.
Energy Project of the Year – Private
This category rewards the latest and greatest energy developments in the private sector, celebrating projects that demonstrate innovation, efficiency, and measurable impact. From commercial offices and retail developments to manufacturing, logistics, and large-scale industrial facilities, judges will be looking for projects that showcase excellence in planning, resource allocation, overcoming challenges, and delivering tangible results. Both new-build and retrofit projects are eligible, with particular credit given to entries that show significant energy savings, carbon reduction, or other long-term sustainability benefits.
Who can enter?
This category is open to private sector organisations, project teams, developers, and their delivery partners who have implemented outstanding energy projects in the UK. Eligible entries include both new-build and retrofit initiatives across all areas of private industry and commerce. Joint submissions between private companies and external contractors, consultants, or technology providers are also welcome, provided the project is primarily private sector–led and took place between 1 June 2024 – 16 January 2026
Energy Project of the Year – Residential
This category rewards the latest and greatest residential energy projects, from social housing to private residences, covering both new-build and retrofit. The judges will look for details on commissioning, customer service, any challenges encountered and strategies for success.
Who can enter?
This category is open to organisations, project teams, housing providers, developers, and their delivery partners who have implemented outstanding residential energy projects in the UK. Eligible entries include both new-build and retrofit schemes across social housing, private developments, and individual residences. Joint submissions between housing associations, local authorities, contractors, consultants, or technology providers are welcome, provided the project demonstrates measurable benefits and successful delivery in a residential setting and took place between 1 June 2024 – 16 January 2026
Energy Project of the Year – Commercial, Industrial
This category looks for the year’s best energy-saving projects in the competitive arena of commercial and industrial buildings, covering both new-build facilities and retrofit projects. The judges will look for details of candidates’ approaches to planning, commissioning, compliance reporting and demonstrable energy and carbon savings, backed up by data, with particular consideration given to for innovative approaches, repeatability and scalability, and environmental impact.

This category is open to organisations, project teams, developers, and their delivery partners who have delivered outstanding energy projects within commercial or industrial buildings in the UK. Eligible entries include both new-build facilities and retrofit projects across sectors such as offices, retail, logistics, and manufacturing. Joint submissions with contractors, consultants, or technology providers are welcome, provided the project demonstrates measurable energy and carbon savings, innovation, and scalable impact and took place between 1 June 2024 – 16 January 2026.
Energy Supplier of the Year
This category seeks to reward energy suppliers who prioritise customer service, efficiency, investments and innovation, setting them apart in an increasingly complex and competitive landscape. Energy suppliers of any size are welcome to enter, regardless of customer base, but judges will be looking into the details and data will be required to evidence claims.
Who can enter?
This category is open to any UK-based energy supplier, regardless of size or customer base, that has demonstrated excellence in customer service, operational efficiency, investment, or innovation. Entries must provide supporting data and evidence to substantiate claims, showcasing measurable impact and differentiation within the competitive energy market and ensure answers are relevant to the period spanning 1 June 2024 – 16 January 2026
Trusted Energy Partner Award
Getting the best for your customers is the name of the game for this award. Whether it is getting the best price, advising how to buy energy effectively or managing a client's carbon plan, this category aims to show why a business should use an intermediary and what advantages this offers.
Who can enter?
This category is open to third-party intermediaries, brokers, consultants, or advisory services operating in the UK energy market. Eligible entrants should demonstrate how their expertise, guidance, or management has delivered tangible benefits for clients—whether through cost savings, carbon reduction, efficiency improvements, or other measurable outcomes. Evidence of impact and client outcomes is strongly encouraged and should be relevant to between 1 June 2024 – 16 January 2026

Heating Technology of the Year
Heating and cooling are a significant user of energy in any building. This category aims to recognise efforts to provide more energy efficient building services and systems. Energy reduction can mean either more efficient performance or controlling it more effectively. Credit will be given for solid data – independent where possible - to back up efficiency claims.

This category is open to manufacturers, developers, suppliers, and project teams that have introduced heating technologies that improve energy efficiency in buildings. Eligible entries include products, systems, or control solutions that demonstrate measurable energy reduction or enhanced performance, with independent or verifiable data encouraged to support efficiency claims. Cooling Technology of the Year

Physical Energy Solutions Award
This category is designed to celebrate technological developments across the energy sector, but outside of the digital space. From automation to control systems, this category is perfect for components and peripherals as well as whole systems and standalone products that go above and beyond HVAC. Products for all applications are welcome, but details of each product’s design, installation and performance are essential for the judges.
Who can enter?
This category is open to manufacturers, developers, suppliers, and project teams that have created energy technologies outside the digital/software space. Eligible entries include automation, control systems, components, peripherals, or standalone systems that deliver measurable performance, efficiency, or operational benefits. Judges will look for detailed information on product design, installation, and demonstrable results for solutions implemented between 1 June 2024 – 16 January 2026.
